Peak summer at Vienna's first wakeboard cable on the Danube — July and August mean daily 11am–sunset opening, maximum daylight, and the warmest water of the season. Grab a day pass and stay as long as your arms hold out: the half-pipe cable runs continuously, the on-site Wake UP restaurant has cold drinks and burgers, and the sunset light over the water makes for the kind of session you describe for weeks. Reachable by U2 (Donaustadtbrücke), no car needed.
